Online Repository Management
To complete SVI’s document management service offering we also offer outsourced hosting services to manage your online document repository. To manage your data SVI has developed its own web enabled document repository called the Global File System (GFS). GFS is a file storage, retrieval and processing system that maximize the availability and accessibility of the Internet to provide a centralized document storage system for our clients. The platform is able to store and manage not only document images but also practically any file format. GFS is powered by Microsoft Back Office; Microsoft SQL server, and an Internet information server.

Data Integration
GFS not only stores indexes for the varying files of a company, it also allows the input of data specific to the files for quick identification without having to open them. The GFS Index™ increases the ability to search precise details of a file all through one interface.
GFS also supports XML format. With XML, data can easily be extracted and used in other applications.
Auditing Function
GFS enables tracking of the history of the documents. It records when the documents were created, stored, migrated, retrieved, and removed. It also includes summary reports and results.
Access Regulation
To ensure confidentiality and security against unauthorized access, the client is given a log-in name and password to view and monitor the documents.
Online Document Retention and Disposal
We integrate your company's document retention policies in determining the creation of a tailored-fit document retention schedule. Vital corporate records are kept within the specified period and purged from the system on the specified dates.
The GFS is capable of purging and disposing documents from the online repository as agreed upon in the document retention schedule. It also provides reports of records to be disposed.
